With a long whistle, on July 24, 2025, the "New Three " trade corridor from Wuhan to Xiamen officially kicked off. A batch of new energy vehicles will be loaded onto train and depart from Rail-water Terminal Phase II of the WIT of Yangtze River New District, Wuhan city. They will arrive at Xiamen Port within 2 days and then be transited to all over the world.

In recent years, the "New Three" represented by new energy vehicles, lithium batteries and photovoltaic products have been increased continuously in global market demand, becoming a new growth point for foreign trade in China. However, in the process of export transportation, there are several obstacles such as repeated customs inspections at transit ports, single export channel with expensive logistics cost. In order to solve these problems practically, Wuhan Maritime Safety Administration and Xiamen Maritime Safety Administration conducted in-depth research and full consultation, and jointly established a new framework for cooperation in safety and service guarantee of rail-water multimodal transportation from Wuhan to Xiamen, including unified standards between these two maritime departments, strengthened information sharing, remote synchronization inspection to achieve precise supervision during the whole process. Since finishing the container stuffing until loading on board, “no change the container, no open the container” during the full transportation period, realizing the maritime supervision result confirmation between the port of loading and the port of transit. At the same time, the government opens up green channels and promote the "one-stop" full chain service model for trade enterprises, to improve customs formalities efficiency, reduce logistics cost and enable more trade enterprises towards the world efficiently.
